Dr
Alan Horsup of Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service has put
out a desperate call in the search for caretakers for the Northern
Hairy-Nosed Wombat Recovery Project at Epping Forest, Queensland.
Being
a caretaker involves a month long stint (or maybe two!) at the
scientific national park and tasks include fence checking and
monitoring food and water supplies for the Northern Hairy-Nosed
Wombats.
There
is no experience necessary, however a minimum of two people
are to caretake in any one session, and one person needs to
hold a current First Aid Certificate.
Alan
is desperate for caretakers for this December. Unfortunately,
people do sometimes pull out at the last moment, so Alan also
needs an emergency back up list for these situations.
