Shirley
started caring for wildlife in the early 1980's when her cat
brought home a baby sugar glider. As her husband Peter opened
his hand to show Shirley the amazing creature, it glided onto
their bed and into both their hearts. Shirley and Peter have
been devoted to looking after native wildlife from that day
on.
Shirley
has cared for many species of native animal, however she specialises
in the care of wombats. She is highly experienced with an absolute
wealth of knowledge that she happily shares with other carers.
Along with Linda, Shirley is a co-presenter for the course
A Guide to the Care of Bare-Nosed Wombats, which is a Fauna
First Aid lecture.
