Therese
has always had a soft spot for all kinds of animals and has recently become involved
in caring for injured native animals. She has cared for several native bird species
and reptiles and volunteers one day a week at the Wildlife Warrior Wildlife Hospital
in Beerwah, Queensland. Her
interest also extends to the conservation of Australian animals and their habitat.
After volunteering for the 2007 Hair Census for the Northern Hairy-Nosed Recovery
Project, Therese now has a passion for wildlife volunteering and eagerly awaits
her new project for 2008 - working with the endangered Western Ringtail Possums
in Busselton, Western Australia. |
