In
recent days the Margaret River region in Western Australia has
suffered terrible bushfires. The area has been declared a natural
disaster area, meaning that residents may access funds from the
government to rebuild lost homes, etc.
The
hidden victims are the wildlife. It is thought that there will
be hundreds of animals that have been injured due to the fires
and many will need extensive rehabilitation. Unfortunately, money
from disaster relief funds do not reach the wildlife.
Fawna
and The Possum Centre in Western Australia are appealing for help
to raise funds for equipment and medications. If you can help
by donating, please see details below.
