A hot Koala trying to keep cool

Koalas normally sit upright, usually in the fork of a tree

This photo was sent to me by fellow wildlife carer, Cheyne Flanagan, who specialises in the care of Koala's.

This Koala is from the Port Macquarie Koala Hospital in NSW.

Koala's normally sit upright, like the photo at bottom left, and often in forks of tree's. The photo at top left was taken on an unusually hot day and this Koala found that by lieing down and extending his body out kept him cooler.

What a clever cool Koala!
