Comments: I must thank you for the amazing info on Brushtail Possums. They are my passion and I hope to make a difference to as many as I can in my lifetime.
My Step-Daughter and I are both wildlife carers and also active in the FOC program ran down here by Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary, (another brilliant Australian Wildlife cause).
Your site is my new bible. I hope all others continue to visit this wealth of info and support your efforts. Brilliant work and thanks again so much.
Admin reply: Hi there Ian.
I'm so pleased that you love FCW and that it has helped you to care for your own wildlife charges.
I visited Bonorong when I was in Tassie a few weeks back and loved it. They are doing some really great work.
cheers for now Linda

Comments: I happened upon an adult male possum after a car had grazed it in the head. I wrapped him in a blanket and brought him to my home. My neighbor's nephew is a vet and he came very quickly and tried to operate on the possum. The head injury was too extensive and the possum died under anesthesia. It broke our hearts, but we did the right thing for the animal.
Admin reply: Hi Michele
Good on you for rescuing the possum and trying to help him. So many people drive around injured animals on the road - it takes a beautiful person to stop and help. Thank you!
kind regards Linda

Comments: Can't seem to find the site to report a mange infestation in a Wombat rescued at Mowbray Tasmania. It recently had come into possession a Joey infested with mange and ticks. The mother had a broken back and was Euthanised. She has been treated and so far appears to be ok. The concern is how many others have the mange around this area? Can you please forward to the appropriate organisation? Many thanks, A devoted Carer
