This
beautiful Eastern Grey Kangaroo is certainly Mother of the Year! This
is Kathryn, a kangaroo that was hand raised by my new friend Jennie Clowes. Kathryn
is feeding her two joeys - the one of the left is Kathryn's latest fully emerged
joey who weighs around 5 to 6 kilograms and the one of the right -the big baby
who was long ago fully emerged! - weighs around 20 kilograms!!
Jennie and I believe that this is more proof that hand raised joeys should not
be weaned too soon. And
